Do you ever have a day when you feel like nothing is going your way but that it could have and so you just laugh at how odd things turned out. I guess you could say that has been my last 48 hours. I have been trying to do things and it seems like nothing is turning out the way I would like it to. Not worse just not as beautiful as I have imagined.

For instance I made a Lemon cake with a raspberry filling and cream cheese icing. Now this is how I wanted it to turn out. What really happened is that I made Lemon cake with a mixed cream cheese and raspberry icing none of the filling soaked in to the holes I created all it did was sit on top. Still tasted good but just didn't look as beautiful in fact it looked almost a mess. ( Not my finest cake)

So in Honor of the last 48 hours I recommend for movie night Captain Newman M.D. it is a movie with Gregory Peck and Tony Curtis. The story goes that Gregory Peck is the doctor of a psych ward in WWII  and his new orderly Tony Curtis finds great joy in working with the men who are in the ward. It has some sad and hard things to watch just because of the nature of it being in a psych ward but still there is some humor to be found it is just harder to see amid all of the sadness or chaos.

I feel like sometimes my life is a psych ward and I am the patient crap happening all around and I can't or won't see it.

So smile it only gets better.

So today is going to be great. I have already gone to the open market at the Art city days and then home to do Laundry and then go swimming. Bailey my sister came and we are going out to have some fun and enjoy the afternoon. Just wish I had a baseball game to go to.

My movie recommendation today is "Take me out to the Ball Game" it is Esther Williams, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. A perfect summer Baseball movie for a perfect summer day. It is funny and has great music dancing and I enjoy the camaraderie between frank and Gene. So enjoy a bag of popcorn or a Popsicle and watch this movie. 

So I am getting up this morning and watching what news is breaking on my phone. Because I don't like to watch the news at night and this way I get it without having to watch unless I want to. I like to read but that is beside the point.
So I see that two women got in to a brawl in Walmart over some name calling of some form. I read that one of the women called a employee a inappropriate word and the other didn't like it so a brawl broke out. Now the kid part is a whole different matter  all I have to say on that is; kids grow up how there role models act. So parents if you want to be a role model, make your life a uplifting life not a down ward spiral. ( I am not talking about living arrangements but belief in ones abilities).
These two women though should learn the art of language because fighting is seldom the answer. This was and is ridiculous. Argue if need be but hands and fists should be kept to themselves.
And sadly enough we live in a world where suing is a way of life so people don't or fear they can't do anything because of the consequences.
What a world and a people we have become.
On to Happier things I am so grateful that I had parents who taught me and teachers who schooled. I am grateful for Old movies and old actors who knew the power of a word and a look with out swearing or coming to blows, it was always the bad guys who did this.

So my recommended movie for the Day is Adam's Rib. A witty film about husband and wife Lawyers on opposite ends of a case. It has great banter and a battle of the sexes to beat all. I love this film.
